ROB RUN Co-op Guide: Party Size, Roles & Cross-Server
How co-op works in ROB RUN: the three-player party cap, heist role splits, joining a friend's server through the prison, and what to agree before a run.
Quick answer. ROB RUN co-op parties cap at three players. The best split is breacher, hauler and cover, with each player carrying a different range. To join a friend on another server, go to the Prison on the global map, surrender to the Feds, then switch servers inside and resend the invite.
- Party cap: three players.
- Clan cap: 100, but clans are not parties.
- Cross-server travel goes through the Prison.
- Agree on loot split and exit rules before the mask goes on.

Decide who carries the bag and who covers the exit before anyone puts a mask on.
Party size and what it means
Three is a deliberate number. It is enough for a breach-haul-cover split and small enough that one bad player can still sink the run.
It also means co-op is not a numbers advantage. A group of three does not automatically beat a solo player; it beats a solo player when the three players cover different jobs. Three players doing the same job are three solo players sharing a voice channel.
The role split
| Role | Job | Loadout |
|---|---|---|
| Breacher | Opens the target, takes the first room | Shotgun or high-RPM SMG |
| Hauler | Fills the bag, moves the cargo | Rifle plus large bag |
| Cover | Watches the door and the street | Rifle or marksman weapon |
The breacher goes first because the first room is the most dangerous. The hauler goes second because the bag is the payload. The cover player goes last and does not enter until the room is clear.
If you only have two players, combine breacher and hauler, and keep the second player on cover. Do not both fill bags.
Agree the rules before the run
Co-op fails on logistics more often than on gunfights. Before you mask up, agree:
- Loot split. Who gets the first bag, and how the sale is divided.
- Exit trigger. What makes the team leave: full bag, police contact, or a downed player.
- Respawn plan. Where the team regroups if someone dies.
- Who carries the cash. One player banks it, or everyone banks their share immediately.
The worst outcome is a successful heist followed by an argument at the fence. Decide before, not after.
Cross-server play
To join a friend on another server:
- Open the global map.
- Travel to the Prison.
- Choose Surrender to Feds.
- Inside the prison, switch to your friend's server.
- Resend the party invite.
This is the documented route. It is also a commitment: you are in the prison system, so do not carry a bag you are not willing to lose.
What co-op is good for
- Heists. The three-role split is the core co-op activity.
- Cargo runs. One player drives, one watches, one handles the sale.
- Base defence. Defence modules alert allies; a clan turns that into a response.
- Police shifts. Two officers can cover more of a route than one.
- Learning. A new player survives longer with a cover player than with a better gun.
What co-op is not good for: silent solo play. If nobody is talking, the roles collapse into three players making the same decision at the same time.
Co-op and the wipe
The weekly wipe clears plots, bases, weapons and cash. It does not clear the group. Teams that plan the rebuild together start the next cycle faster than teams that scatter.
The practical wipe-day plan:
- Agree who rents the first plot.
- Pool resources for one Security System rather than three bare bases.
- Rebuild the workbench and storage before anything cosmetic.
- Re-establish the party before the first heist, not during it.
The wipe page→ lists what carries over.
Common co-op mistakes
- Everyone brings a shotgun. No one covers the street.
- Two players fill bags. The third is alone on cover.
- No exit trigger. The team pushes until someone dies.
- Loot split after the sale. The argument is guaranteed.
- Cross-server with a full bag. The prison is not a bank.
FAQ
How many players can play ROB RUN co-op?
Parties cap at three players. Clans hold up to 100, but a clan is not a single party.
How do I join a friend's server?
Travel to the Prison on the global map, surrender to the Feds, switch to your friend's server inside the prison and resend the invite.
Is co-op better than solo?
It is better for heists and base defence, and worse for quiet cargo runs. The advantage comes from role coverage, not from having more guns.
Does co-op share loot?
The game does not guarantee a split. Agree on the division before the run and bank your share immediately after the sale.
